DDX 9121b Advanced PD & RIV Detector

DDX with laptop

The DDX 9121b is an advanced Partial Discharge & Radio Interference Voltage detector. With the DDX 9121b, users can test and generate reports from a single computer. The DDX 9121b is modular and fits a wide range of PD detection applications, such as simultaneous PD and RIV testing, DC PD testing, and site location in power cables. One measuring input to simultaneous 9 measuring inputs are possible. Traditional partial discharge measurements according to IEC 60270 or RIV measurement or PD under DC are covered. The DDX 9121b comprises 1 of 9 stackable units communicating with a remote PC (optional), which handles the display of PD information using the DDX 9121b/SWR data acquisition and remote control software. The software displays test results and generates reports. The DDX9121b increases the laboratory sensitivity as it is equipped with digital filters allowing the measurement frequency band to be shifted into a less noisy range and suppressing frequency-dependent noise.

DDX 9161 Laboratory PD & RIV Detector

DDX 9161

The DDX 9161 is the newest laboratory optimized PD detector from Haefely for AC, DC, and RIV partial discharge measurements. The fully digital state-of-the-art detector can accommodate up to four simultaneous PD/RIV and Voltage inputs. The modular design fits a wide range of PD detection applications. Conventional AC & DC PD measurements according to IEC 60270 or RIV measurements according to NEMA and CISPR standards are covered. The device can be mounted on a coupling capacitor and rugged fiberoptic cables provide galvanic isolation from the HV test floor to the control room, ensuring the highest safety level for operating personnel. The measuring impedance can be integrated into the detector to reduce the number of components required for successful PD measurements.

DDX 9160 Portable PD & RIV Detector

DDX 9160

The DDX 9160 is a lightweight and portable PD detector from Haefely for AC, DC, and RIV partial discharge measurements. The DDX 9160 can be operated by battery or by using an external power supply. A measuring impedance can be integrated into the detector to reduce the number of components required for successful PD measurements.

HTP-2 Digital PD Detector

HTP-2 PD Detector

This high resolution stand-alone PD detector can be used for various PD testing applications according to IEC 60270. There are 3 versions available:

  1. HTP-2/D – alphanumeric LCD is situated on the front panel of the detector showing the measuring values in pC and the frequency of the applied test voltage.
  2. HTP-2/W – measuring data access is given via web browser with calibration, test voltage, charge, and various diagrams.
  3. HTP-2/S –  PD detector is supplied with HVT Software Suite for PC operation and with advanced functionality with recording of tests and replay of results.

HTP-2/UHF PD Detector

HTP-2/UHF PD Detector

Unconventional measurement technology in ultra high frequency (UHF) ranges (MHz to GHz) is commonly used for on-site PD testing. This has the added benefit that an online test can be conducted since the measurement method does not require galvanic coupling to the high voltage conductors. PD measurement system based on UHF technology is designed for field application for a very sensitive measurement of PD signals from MV, HV, and EHV cable accessories, as well as power transformers and GIS. During UHF measurements, stronger attenuation of distant signals allows for very favorable signal-to-noise ratios and locally selective PD tests.

Ultrasonic Probe ohv Ultradetect

The reliable ultrasonic probe allows you to sniff out electrical PD signals such as corona, tracking, or arcs by detecting the emitted ultrasound of the discharges, which helps to avoid insulation breakdown damage by early recognition of critical failures. The acoustic level is displayed on the LCD screen and is audible with headphones. Thanks to a number of included accessories and probes, the device can be perfectly adapted to any application. Detection over short distances can be conducted with the air-borne sound probe, or can be adapted for investigating angled locations with a bendable probe. For detection over greater distances, the parabolic mirror and laser pointer can be used. An optional accessory is the body sound probe, which can be used for the location of PD signals on grounded surfaces (e.g., transformers, switchgear, generators, etc.).

Portable PD Diagnostics System – PD-TaD 62

Most modern non-destructive VLF partial discharge diagnostics system. Allows for the identification and precise location of partial discharges in cable systems. Measures PD levels and locates PD sources reliably over the entire cable line. Very easy operation via BAUR’s diagnostics software.

Liona Online PD Spot Tester

Liona Online PD Spot Tester

The portable Online PD Spot Tester is a reliable and easy to use the instrument to measure partial discharge activity in cables and switchgear during normal mains operation. The core technology of the Liona software is based on the DeCIFer® algorithm from IPEC Ltd, which is able to clearly differentiate between PD signals and noise signals. Liona is a lightweight and simple instrument to reliably assess the current status of your cable system and can help contribute to the value of your operation.
