Cable test termination systems are used for high voltage testing of polymeric (XLPE and EPR) power cables. Before AC or impulse testing voltages are applied the power cable needs to be prepared and terminated in a special way in order to control the electrical field distribution along the ends. There are two different models of cable terminations offered, using either oil or water, depending on the test voltage of the cable to be tested.
For AC Voltages ≤ 100 kV:
