ESDEX series generators represent the latest innovation in ESD testing up to 30 kV.

Designed and manufactured by EMC PARTNER AG, they are available in 8 kV, 16 kV, and 30 kV versions and support a wide range of interchangeable RC networks to ensure full compliance with the latest international standards, including IEC 61000-4-2 Ed.3, ISO 10605, RTCA DO-160 Section 25, and MIL-STD-461 CS118.

A comfortable and efficient ESD testing process is ensured by a perfectly balanced and ergonomically optimized design. The precisely engineered balance point allows effortless movement in any direction or angle, enabling long test sessions with minimal strain.

The large 4” capacitive touchscreen offers a wide viewing angle and excellent readability from any position. Compared to traditional resistive screens, it delivers a modern, fast, and highly responsive user experience.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can the ESDEX be upgraded after delivery?

Yes. The 16 kV version is upgradeable to 30 kV via factory upgrade. The 8 kV version is designed as an economical model and is not upgradeable.

What applications is the ESDEX designed for?

What type of display does the ESDEX use?

The ESDEX features a 4-inch capacitive touchscreen with wide viewing angle, color graphics, and intuitive navigation.

Can tests be saved directly on the generator?

Yes. The ESDEX allows quick save of test setups, user-defined ramp testing, sequence testing, real-time event marking and on-device report generation.

What operating modes are supported?

The ESDEX supports Contact Discharge (CD) up to 20Hz, Air Discharge (AD) and Fire Mode (high repetition burst mode) up to 500Hz.

Are RC networks interchangeable?

Yes. The ESDEX uses interchangeable RC networks with automatic RC network recognition for different standards and applications.

How are test reports transferred?

ESDEX generates reports directly on the ESD generator. Reports are available in PDF, CSV, or HTML format and can be transferred via the USB-C port, SD card, or software interface.

How long is the run time before a recharge is needed?

ESDEX includes a standard 2-cell rechargeable battery with approximately 14 hours of operating time on a full charge. An optional 4-cell rechargeable battery is available for extended run time.

How long does it take to charge the battery?

The battery supports fast charging via USB-C. Charging from 10% to 80% takes approximately 80 minutes.
