Partial Discharge Detection Equipment
Partial Discharges (PD) are evidences of a degrading insulation capacity, which will lead to cost-intensive repairs and can predictively lead to an electrical breakdown of the HV apparatus.  Partial Discharges are mainly caused by natural circumstances or by accelerated aging of the HV insulation. But also manufacturing or installation failures can lead to harmful partial discharges. Therefore, the goal of partial discharge measurements is to detect the partial discharges in an early stage and to evaluate them in a proper way.
Thus, periodic (as well as permanent) partial discharge measurements have become one of the main criteria in assessing the quality and condition of HV equipment such as transformers, generators, switchgears and cable systems.

Tan Delta / Dissipation Loss Factor Measurement Equipment
What is the Dissipation Factor / Loss Factor?
The dissipation factor Tan Delta is the ratio between the resistive power loss and the reactive power loss of the insulation material.
Hence, the dissipation factor Tan Delta plays a major role as measuring parameter for the integral condition assessment of HV insulations. Both age-related disorders as well as manufacturing and assembly flaws can be diagnosed.

Compared to the classic Schering Bridge method, our measuring instruments feature a simple and fully automatic dissipation factor balancing. The use of optical separation allows the safe HV testing of grounded test objects and greatly reduces the influence of electro-magnetic interferences. Capacitance and other relevant parameters can be displayed directly.

Transformer Loss Measurement Systems
The measurement of electric power and energy at high voltages and currents at low power factors is becoming increasingly important economically as a way to reduce costs in an ever-growing industrial economy.
Using “State of the Art” proven two-stage-current comparator technology, the AccuLoss™ Series of transformer loss measurement systems is designed to meet the needs of today’s transformer manufacturer by providing the most accurate power loss measurement system in the world.

HV Capacitance Bridge (CTD) from Measurements International
Our models offer a wider capacitance range and increased voltage sensitivity in a fully automatic microprocessor based , metrology driven, high voltage capacitance bridge.

Relevant measuring quantities such as capacitance (Cx) and dissipation factor (Tanδ) are displayed. Easy to use front panel keyboard menus allow the operator to select the number of readings for statistical analysis of uncertainty calculations at the 95% (2s) level. Models available that are ideal for both low and high voltage applications.

Transformer Winding Resistance / Ratio Test Equipment
The demand for electric power and the cost of production are growing every year. Hence, there are ever increasing need to measure and reduce the losses as much as possible in the production, distribution, and usage machineries.
Though this system can be used for post testing a unit-under-test (UUT) after a failure, it is wise to use the system for pre-testing to detect catastrophic failures before they occur!
