Tan Delta / Dissipation Loss Factor Measurement Equipment
What is the Dissipation Factor / Loss Factor?
The dissipation factor Tan Delta is the ratio between the resistive power loss and the reactive power loss of the insulation material.
Hence, the dissipation factor Tan Delta plays a major role as measuring parameter for the integral condition assessment of HV insulations. Both age-related disorders as well as manufacturing and assembly flaws can be diagnosed.
Compared to the classic Schering Bridge method, our measuring instruments feature a simple and fully automatic dissipation factor balancing. The use of optical separation allows the safe HV testing of grounded test objects and greatly reduces the influence of electro-magnetic interferences. Capacitance and other relevant parameters can be displayed directly.
